Cream that changed my favorite of 20 years
In my twenties, I had the worst skin of my life – acne on my forehead, nose, red cheeks, and other unsightly issues. I couldn’t resist picking at my pimples, making things even worse. Thankfully, I found a wonderful esthetician who advised me to throw away all my skincare products and focus on restoring my skin barrier. She taught me that if I wanted clear skin, I didn’t need harsh ingredients like tea tree oil but instead needed to pamper my skin with gentle, calming products.
Being a young adult I didn't have much money, but she convinced me to try the French luxury brand Maria Galland and their extraordinary 212 cream for sensitive skin. Sadly, this cream is no longer being manufactured, and the brand's prices have skyrocketed. Paired with the Italian Bioline Calming Toner, it worked wonders on my skin, healing it completely, and I looked amazing.
Now in my 40s, I’ve immersed myself in the world of Korean skincare, but Maria Galland 212 has always held a special little place in my heart. After trying numerous moisturizers, I finally found something that could replace my favorite cream. I introduce you the HaruHaru Wonder Centella Phyto & 5 Peptide Concentrate Cream!
This cream is designed to moisturize, firm, depuff, and calm the skin. The brand even calls it their “botox in a jar.” My first impression was all about the texture – it’s incredibly silky and gives a real sense of luxury on the skin. While I believe it’s suitable for year-round use (though it might be too heavy for those with oily skin during summer), many prefer using it in the colder months. Still, I wouldn’t describe it as overly rich in texture.
I particularly enjoyed using it with the Numbuzin No.3 Serum (which is marketed to smooth skin texture but excels at firming and nourishing). This lovely duo visibly firmed my skin – I could both feel and see the difference.
The cream contains Centella Asiatica extract to calm the skin, caffeine to brighten and reduce puffiness, and squalane and ceramides to deeply moisturize. I won’t dive into all the technical details – you can find plenty of reviews online. But if you’re overwhelmed by the sheer number of Korean moisturizers out there, don’t overlook this one. It’s one of the best introductions to the Korean skincare world.
Please remember, I always write honest and real reviews after several weeks of testing. However, there is one Korean skincare shop which gives me points if somebody uses my discount code. If you decide to buy this product, support me by entering my discount (rewards code) – PEACH33714 – in your cart and you will get an additional discount! Here you can find exact steps.
